Ext. Bench Day was shot in one 10 hour day on 16mm. The film was processed the next day and the day after went through telecine and color correction. The footage was imported and the sound synced up on day four. The first cut was done the next day.

The idea came when Chris was hanging out on his porch in Vegas and either because of the heat or because he's weird he imagined 2 guys below on the sidewalk walking up to each other and each saying something to the other and then disapperaing until the person was happy with what just came out of their mouth. And since it was just Chris' imagination and those 2 guys didn't really exist he knew the only way that he could see such a thing was to make a movie out of it. Yeah i know it's weird, just see the movie.
